Re: Gps Strike - lost and found
ANY PROPERTY FOUND IN A TAXI CAB SHOULD BE REPORTED WITHOUT ANY DELAY TO POLICE IF THE OWNER CAN’T BE FOUND. DOING SOMETHING THAN THIS MIGHT CAUSE THE DRIVER A BIG TROUBLE.

Re: Gps Strike - lost and found
TLC Rule, §2-59 Lost Property : - (a) The driver shall inspect the interior of the taxicab and the trunk compartment, if used, immediately after termination of each trip to Kennedy, La Guardia and Newark Airports.
- (b) Property found by a driver in a taxicab shall be returned to the passenger if possible; otherwise it shall be taken without delay to the police precinct closest to where the passenger was discharged.
- (c) If the property is not returned to the passenger, the driver shall promptly inform the Commission of the details regarding the found property and the police precinct where it is held.

Re: Gps Strike
I guess this website is a real good idea because about 90 percent of the stuff that is lost in taxis is found by the next passenger. I am a driver and alot of times the next passenger will take whatever he finds for himself. When asked to return it so i can bring it to the police station and loose time and money from my shift they always deny me. I mean who wants to give a wallet or cell phone that was lost to the driver? Especially when those items are not of a high value, so they shouldnt even be reported to the police. Looks like most of the posts on that site are from passengers exchanging information and not drivers. Good luck!
