Swine Flu

Hi:

With everything I see in the news about swine flu, I feel a little worried as a cab driver. We are all exposed to between 20-30 passengers per shift, and these people come literally from all over. I hate to look like some crazy driver wearing a mask, plastic gloves, and spraying a can of lysol, but I don't want to get sick or bring anything home to my family.

The cab is a small confined area, and passengers are constantly coughing and sneezing, and then they hand you the money with the same hand.

Does anyone else worry about this, and if so, what do you suggest?

Re: Swine Flu

hi there, very important topic, close your partition window, crack your window to inhale fresh air,get anti bacterial wipes to clean your hands and the places you touch frequently,DO NOT URINATE in the cab as some drivers DO,they do i've seen them, don't talk to customers unnecessarly,i hope we won't get this flu.and good luck.

Re: Swine Flu

be careful with the cash money ,they are very dirty, and can lead to infections. Just wash your hands very often and do not touch your face or nose and eyes .open fully your windows for at least one minute every 30 minute to refresh the air inside and clean your cab floor with disinfectant .wipe your steering wheel all the time .the more you clean your cab the more you make money ..good luck
