Do you now anyone on the internet can find where u live .........with first and last name thats very Scary IF some Nut Job in the city you pick up and is crazy or whatever and he did not like you or whatever he can find where u live bye the information TLC put on your Hack license

Welcome to having a job that no one respects. You're nothing but a bottom feeder as far as the city is concerned. Not that I agree, heck, I feel for you guys, but I'm sure there's not a lot of people that care for the random immigrant driving around in a yellow car.

Unless you guys get a real union, all you are to the city is a bunch of independant contractors, and even then, you're not that good, because at least contractors build something. You just drive around the city aimlessly.

well putting first and last name is not right but what you can do is to put your license half the way half under your medallion papers so that people can only see your first name. well it works with me i dont know cause i have the new short license. Well the tlc should just put the last name and i think it should work.

As far as one of the guys who responded to this posting saying there is no union and the drivers are bunch of contractors driving around for nothing.. Iam a full time student but i drive for living part time though but i dont feel it bad its just pays for something atleast my rent and few meals. Listen guys there is no big or small work. work is work and do every work with all the love and try to love your work, if you pick up garbage or you clean the gutters, work is work and love it untill you are there and thats the truth. The big philosphers big names they all have done small works, iam sure they have not driven a taxi cause there was no car at that time but those people have done really small jobs but they have loved it. Its just a transition, like after high school you work in a ice cream parlor or a bagel store and when you are in college find another part time job. I know people who are really good doctors and attorneys and engineers and have driven nyc yellow cab for years. Never say any work is bad, no work is bad but the people doing it are bad. If you are not going to respect your work the other person will never respect you. well good luck guys and i think last name or just the first name is enough i guess. Its a good work guys and whosover is doing it just be happy and try to do it in the right way. Try to obey all the laws in changing lanes, cutting off people and the fellow taxi drivers. Be nice to your customers and to fellow taxi drivers. Show courtesy to fellow drivers which this industry definitly lacks. I never payed attention to that , but why should you allow people to have yur full name when especially there are some people out there trying to harm you.

When I drove truck for an expediting company I was upset that not one they they put our full names on our i.d. badges but also our social security numbers.

We are victims if only we allow it. So just like any other victim group we should try to change this things we have in our dayt to day that affect our way of living.

The problem many people come from different backgrounds and some are not aware of the way the law works in favor and or us as citizens of this country.

We try to run away from countries that are operssed in the way people are living and come here looking for freedom in all and do not realize that they too have to continue to help to preserve wha others some many years ago gave, some with their own lives, others in the way they had to live because they wanted to help someone else in the different areas of struggles.

So America needs to start getting together to change all these areas affecting our day to day, America was built by immigrants and still is to today, the important thing is to stop asking and making it an issue where or when someone became an immigrant and to join the causes that are worth saving and changing.

Years ago some truck drivers realized they were being double taxed so they got together and won the money back.

So can anyone and everyone else.
