Re: cabbies mistakes
I make all kinds of mistakes. Sometimes I turn left from 3rd avenue on 33rd street to cross over to the west side, then I have to go down on lex, and come back up on Madison; sometimes, the passenger tells me where they are going, and I will forget and go too far (until they remind me); there are times when I will take a no-turn street, and then either have to take a turn (which I'm not supposed to do) or go around and back to the destination. Usually, when I realize I made a mistake, i immediately notify the customer (you don't want them to think that you are trying to rip them off), and I offer to shut the metter of earlier so that I don't overcharge them. I appologize. Most of the time they appreciate it and do not make a big deal. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when you are a new driver and are still learning the city.
