2 million for a corporate mini fleet medallion?
I don't get it. It was just a few months ago I was reading that corporate medallions were selling for a record $766,000 (USA TODAY article) The article went on to say the TLC caps the weekly lease rate at $800 a week. Sooo...and tell me if I 'm wrong , that is maximum monthly income of $3200 a month, but If you are just a passive investor and not actively leaseing on a daily or weekly rate as a garage would do, I'd imagine the monthly income would be less . Here it is....WHY would someone pay $2,000,000 (price for corporate plate on this site) for an income of about $2500? My figures might be way off but could someone explain this to me? |

ok, i can explain it for you this way. It's an internal combustion between the city at city hall and it's management outfit. But as a private individual don't you ever think about paying anything to that amount, or anything for that matter if you're a good drive you're entitled to having a medallion, just buy the cab and you're all set ... that's legal business. Corp. Medallion is selling today for approx. 775,000 per medallion. 2 medallion corp. is approx. 1,550,000. The 2,000,000 you mention is just someone asking a very high amount that no one will pay right now! Income that you mention of 2,500 is per medallion. 2 medallion corp. income would be 5,000 per month. Hope this helped you out?
