thanks james....my uncle owns a yellow and he rents to two people....he pulled up a screen on the internet and showed me how much the two guys were making...they were making on an average 400 per day. (the drivers alternate between days) and he charges them 180 perday.....when i heard that, i didnt think that was bad but is it? or is there something that im not seeing?? i was thinking about driving the towncars too but im not sure if business is good there...only drove for yellow not town cars..........im about to get my license back in two weeks in the mail so i would like as much info as possible...but definately, thanks for the imput so far.

Hey Stitch, I don't think town car is the way to go because I have family members driving town cars. They told me its worse than cabbies because they even have to risk there licenses stealing rides from cabbies. Ok here are all the expenses and info you'll need to make your decisions. $100-110 for day shift 4am -4pm or 5am-5pm, $115-125 for night shift 4pm-4am or 5pm-5am. That's for Hybrid cars and gas wise its about $12-15 a day. But if you know where you are going and what you are doing then you can earn about $300-350 a day and subtract the expenses. The total of profits you make per day is $185-230 and a week you can earn about $1295-1610 but remember you'll need to file taxes too. So it isn't bad to drive yellow cab but don't drive like those Maniac drivers....

Do you par for the lease before or after the shift?
