MEDALLION LEASE!!!
Hi everyone,
I need a suggestion from who have experience in this profession. I lease a medallion and the broker is charging me $1005 just for the medallion it self. He asked me to pay him $200 under the table and $800 lease which he will show on paper and he said if I don't do this he will his medallion back. What can I do? Any suggestions!! I will really appreciate your response.

I would try to tape the conversation and report him to TLC.

Seems there's alot of "under the table" BS going on in this trade and to us, the regular driver just trying to make our means, are being pulled in to many directions. I agree with the three posts above but if that goes to court there is a good chance the video could be dismissed because the culprit was recorded with out prior notice. I watch alot of Law & Order........ If your going to bust the guy try to have a person with you, best would be a girl, won't bring up any red flags in the guys head. If he offers the deal with the "girlfriend" there, you just got yourself a bonafied witness and TLC has no choice but to listen. Good luck with your venture!
