Checker cabs
When were Checker cabs taken of the streets? Have anyone seen one lately?

you can see a checker cab anytime at OLDEE METERSHOP on Vernon Blvd. in Long Island City.

Last one went off the streets in 1999. I remember the driver, it had like 1 million miles on it, but the chasis finally cracked. Smithsonian offered him 100k for it, I think that he took it. |
