Dozens of Cabbies Charged in Fraud Scheme
why this happened .because drivers are overcharged by employers and brokers .they must generate $200 a night in order to start making thier own money ,no body cares for them .the system is broken and they must fix it ,is not worth it to drive a cab these days .TLC has to control brokers who overcharging drivers.because drivers not happy with thier income.waw everybody in nyc is ripping off people from cabies to wall street and insurance companies ,from lowers to judges ,from hospitals to universities.just lies after lies.corruption is underway

I also agree. This is a tough business and a lot of people who are not in the biz do not realize this. Fortunately for me, I just got out of the biz and went on to teaching. Please guys!!! If you can, you should look into other livelyhoods. NYC cabbies are the lowest on the totem pole according to everyone else. Good Luck Brothers!!!

Hi, My name is Michael Spevack, Esq. I am an attorney in the taxi industry and I agree that there are garages doing possibly illegal things. Perhaps you should think about complaining to the TLC legal department at 40 Rector Street, 5th Floor. I wish you all the luck in the world and would be glad to talk to you about the problem or anything else legally related in the taxi industry. Feel free to email me at michaelspevack@gmail.com if you want to. Mike Spevack

Re: Dozens of Cabbies Charged in Fraud Scheme
The fact that it is a hard way to make a living is no excuse to steal from our customers. These drivers who did so reflect negatively on most of us who operate honestly. They were stealing and should lose their hack license.
