Before cabbies can strike, they need a union, and a real union.

Cabbies can strike all they want, they will be replaced whithin few days

by opportunists who are willing to cash in during the strike.

Driving a cab is an odd job. I never seen an independant contractor being regulated heavily by the city,

yet no benefits and no coverage.They regulate you but you are on your own.

The abuse will continue. Fleet owners are not on the side of the driver.

Also need to raise the flat rate to JFK since anywhere from the west side is worth over $ 45 and sometime no tip from customer.

There is an opportunity to make changes, but nearly all cabbies adopting to the problems and few of us working on solutions! Every cabdriver have at least 3-5 friends, who are also driving a yellow cab. This is our business to improve our work and make decent living wages. We all need to get involved! Cabbies are the most abused working class of people, in the transportation business, and they are slapped with multiple bogus tickets on every single day. No other group of people receives so many tickets, like cabdrivers! Some deserve it, but the majority doing an excellent job, but there are no rewards for them either. Obstruct traffic lanes, improper taxi pick-up or drop-off is ready made for every cabdriver, in the city where the "ruling elites" have no mercy for us. They altered the city streets and avenues to make millions from the cabbies, who is doing their job to transport riders point A to B. No Stopping Anytime, Bike Lanes, Bus Lanes! And what about a Safe Taxi Lane, or Free Spot to pull over. OH NO, they love to pull you over for anything, because cabbies are easy targets, and need more money for the greedy elites, because too much is never enough!  We all know how they are getting rich, and have everything. It is time for all of us to think, and work and analyze all these problems, and address it to TLC and to the Media!  We need to unite and get organized, and be a professional happy cabdriver, who are able to support their family and kids, not just creating a wealth for the ruling elites in NYC.

For strike first of all you need human beings not a bunch of a***.............these cabbies are worse than a***.....they cut you off and ready to kill you for a 5 dollar fare............do you think they will take a day off.......never and ever...........and its the beauty of being their savagery that garage owners and medallion owners are making money and its good..........listen its all good.............taxi drivers or cabbies whatever you like to call them are slaves i think i should call them "slaves of another kind" i love to make them more miserable..........cause they are miserable all the times and i just love to increase their miseries and i love to cut them off or honk at them...........its fun for me.........like you are taking a walk in a park and there is a dog without a lease and you like to hit the dog with a rock i love it.......i love these creatures...........you cant do anything for them...............they are there own worst enemies..........such a good creation of god...........cabbies enemies of their own.........listen to the good thing now the uniform is gonna be out soon.......i love it............now you can see if some driver is outside without a taxi........with a shirt or a cab you can recognise them and give them your piece of mind......you can curse them hit them or whatever and leave like two dollar tip................what a miserable people on earth...............nyc cabbies

Drivers think about it.............make a real union.............get united.........its in your own benefit..........medical...housing....one regular lease......i know few drivers pay around a 1000 dollars a week........come on......dont act like slaves you are not...........make a union............which will help you get everything and will go on strike.........if something is not accomplished..............think about it..........13000 cabs start from downtown to 1 new york plaza to west side to bowery to 3 rd ave..............park them and leave on the st. untill and unless city do some drastic change to understand that drivers are human beings and its really hard to make money these days with the slowest business in all times.............there was this black car driver in jersey a month ago was cut off by a cop on 1-9 and then was arrested and was issued with like 5 tickets..........he called his fellow drivers all of them came out and blocked the whole 1-9 and parked their cars on the highway and then left........in few hours the driver was released and his summons were cancelled........now this is unity............wish and pray that nyc yellow cabbies one day get united and make some decent money and have a better future.............
