They mentioned in the news that TLC was going to raise the meter's fair beining of 2011 and TLC commisioner said that the cabbies deserve it. What happened? We are in March already and I do not see nobody talking about it.

I dont think They will be raising the Fares. I think for the most convenience for the drivers, they will raise the fares first, let it Fluctuate. We will lose business if the fare goes up. After Awhile, people will become complaicent to the prices then business will return to normal. Afterwards, the new medallions should be placed (dont agree with the numbers). If the medallions are placed before prices go up..it will really hurt our business in many ways. It will benefit  the city's revenue by alot though.
