Re: Taxi Dispatcher at PENN station forced to pick five passengers

his job is to handle laggage and help people get into cabs .keep in mind no one can force you to do something even police .anyone who thinks he has a problem can call 311 or 911 and make a report .if you say no it is no.and if yu pick up five people and if an accident happened ,the insurance can cover only four but the fift passenger is on you the driver to pay for any liability.if yu refused a pasenger while on yur cab ,he has to get out and up to him to make a report .I believe dispatcher need to be given extrat hours of how taxi works.and never work in favaor of anyone because people here lie and never be to your side no matter how nice you are.

you can not complain to anyone because it is your job and responsibility to make sure how many people are getting into yur cab

even this dispatcher forces you to pick up five is because he dosent know the law .and it still your fault.because you are supposed to refused them or call the police and accused the dispatcher for forcing you to do an illegal pick up that can put your life and your futur in to harmway .then he will never do it.

the law gives the driver the power to refuse five.so if you can't call the police to exercice your rights/.

when can you complain?when you are denied a service.but in your case you provide a service.

tell the TLC to send the dispatcher to an 24hour class and take the test to make sure they know it is against the law to pick up 5 passenger

You must listen to the dispatcher.  Rule 4-12(j) states: Cooperation with Law Enforcement. (1) A Driver must cooperate with all law enforcement officers and all authorized representatives of the Commission including dispatchers at public transportation terminals and at authorized group-ride Taxicab lines.
