we are not contractors nor selfemployed anymore .our income is being controled by the brokers and city .we are regular employees who dont work for theselves but for medallion owners.these owners must pay or take in consideration driver overtime working hours and thier health care .also ,owner should pay 50 percent of the gas in order for the driver to make his lease . the mta and credit card surcharge should not apply in the first 8 hours shift.owner must pay that from his lease income.we have to share the damage 50/50.pls respond??

you have to take this to the congress and pass a law to control them, just like controlling the credit card company.

Damn right Transmission, am wit you ...an 8hrs brake on the expense is something to stand up for, but how many of are ready to protest?@#*. am ready!! Yes we are self employed and striving to make the ends meet for the lease and our salary while the big guys get fat. some things need to change and we ought to start working on it.
