Can I get a TLC license???
In May 2010 I was arrested in Oklahoma for driving with a suspended license. Long story short, I had forgotten to pay a parking ticket. While driving cross country I was stopped for driving 10+ miles over the speed limit on the highway and the cops arrested me. I don't have any points on my New York driver's license, but I am still curious if something like this (a double conviction for driving with a suspended license and speeding) will keep me from getting a TLC license, or will make me have to go to a Fitness Hearing. The convictions don't show up at all on my NYS driver's abstract (I had a NY license at the time of the arrest), but they WILL show up on my FBI fingerprint check. What do you guys think of my chances?

After rereading my previous post, I feel i should clarify. The arrest for driving with a suspended license and speeding happened at the same time. These were not two separate incidents.
If anyone has any idea how this might affect my chances of getting a TLC 'Yellow' license, please let me know. I have called the TLC, but they say they I have to submit a non-refundable application before they can tell me anything. I'd rather not spend almost $500 to get a rejection letter in the mail, or be told i have to wait months to get a Fitness Hearing and a ruling. If you had similar convictions when you applied, or if you know someone who recently applied with similar convictions, please let me know how things worked out for you/them.

As long as their was no violence, drugs or sexual abuse involved, you should be OK.
