Re: Dial 7
you have to buy your own car,and buy the 2 way radio right to use. it is mostly out of town job. they work on zones for driver to wait for the job. you need to pay a weekly dues plus a percentage on each job, I think is 10 or 15%. dispatcher is same as taxi dispatcher, you have to grease them.

Re: Dial 7
you dont want to go there....the commission is 32% they dont pay for no shows...the work is mostly airport..if you have a good late model car you do get good jobs..but you have to have a camera and trouble light apart from that they treat you like garbage at the company....if you want to quit yellow do black car work with your car or go for the company that gives you the car .

Re: Dial 7
Brother dial 7 is a car service and the rates on airports and out of town and in town jobs are way less than yellow cab, and they deduct 35 % on whatever you make. Few years ago they used to have more cash business like it used to be like the proportion of 70 to 30 thats cash and credit but now its like the opposite and the good thing about cash is they dont report that to IRS and hence you dont have to pay tax on it. Its a good thing for the time being but in the long run its not good, paying taxes is always good. so you know figure it out that you have to pay the car off and then maintenace on the car and then tlc insurance and then 35 % goes to them and then your gas, so its very hard, easiest thing is get a cheap car but reliable and then work, good thing is you should not have payments on car that actually kills the business and then in busy times these days you can do cash in the city too, since yellow cab cannot meet with the holiday business, if you have further inquiries feel free to post. thanks
