TLC Driver's Bills of Right and Rates Is Here

Finallythe Driver’s Bill of Right is out. As always, the driver is the least human inthis industry. We have had Passengers Bill of Right for so long that no one knewif driver’s right were violet let alone abuse they get from the passengers, thepublic, TLC, owners and garages. The key to this to this new Bill is that noone can charge you above the stipulated rates approved by TLC. It also requiresevery garage to display the rate for all drivers to see. TLC would also conductsurprise visits to make sure that garages comply.

So if you want TLCto fight for you, make sure that you get receipts for every transaction betweenyou, the private owner and the garage. This is the best New Year news TLC has broughtfor the drivers. See the rates at this link: http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/downloads/pdf/fleet_drivers_rights_poster.pdf

Re: TLC Driver's Bills of Right and Rates Is Here

Iwish this Bill of Right would have limited the number of days and hour’s drivers candrive – like truckers. Most of drivers work for long hours to the detriment oftheir own health. Most only care for money over looking their health. In theend they get diabetes, High Blood pressure and other chronic disease. Drivers need to know that theirhealth comes first and therefore not something they can ignore. I have seendrivers sleeping in cars, eating in cars and urinating in containers so theycannot leave the car for the next fare. This is unhealthy for their long termwellbeing.
