freefido (7 Posts) 3/15/2012 1:48:00 PM	Help me send this hit and run driver TO JAIL!!!! This past Tuesday (March 13th, 2012) I pull up to a red light at W Houston and Hudson. A woman runs up to my window as though she wants to hail the cab. She starts knocking on the window. I roll down the window and the woman is almost in tears asking me to call the police. I ask the woman what's wrong and she tells me that a cab driver is hitting her husband. I look across the street and see the two men arguing. The woman says that the cab driver was lost and was driving with the meter on trying to find their address. The woman said that her husband asked the driver to turn off the meter, or to give a discount on the fare. The driver refused, stopped the car on the side of the street, and started yelling and hitting the passenger. What happens next is horrible. Please help me find this driver and send him to jail... While the woman is telling me what happened, the driver pushes her husband onto the ground in the middle of the street. The woman gets scared and runs over to help her husband. The cab driver starts running to his cab to try to drive away. The woman sees that her husband is ok, and then runs after the cab driver to get him to stop. The cab driver starts up his car and starts to drive away while the woman is halfway in the car. The woman falls onto the ground and the driver runs over the woman TWO TIMES and then speeds away. Another cab that was next to me at the stoplight zoomed through the red light to try to catch the driver and get his medallion number. I parked my car in the middle of the street to block traffic, and called 911 for the woman. Her face and body were covered in blood and bruises. The woman was dragged behind the car for several feet after she was run over. The husband had cuts from being pushed on the floor by the driver. The driver was in a Crown Victoria and this happened at 11pm on Tuesday March 13th. If you have any information, please help me send this animal to prison. He deserves to rot in jail for running over a woman TWICE over a $10 fare.

The TLC can locate him with GPS just go and tell them the time that it happened and they will sort out all the cabs in the area at that time and the passenger can go to tlc and look at the pictures of drivers. You not the police you should had just taken the madillion Number and called police.

If it is true, NY cobs shouldnt take much time to find this guy and give him the justice. 90% percent of passengers are decent and understand the situation but the 10% can make your life miserable for two dollars or even 40 cents. They can verbally abuse you to maximum and treat you as roach. I didnt mean to say the cabbies should behave or have any excuse to be the same as 10% bad apple. My experience is I have ber tortured by the so called 10% and I get flashbacks of the threats and abuse I get from these people. We are all americans and doesnt give anyone a chance to roach us because we drive cab with a bad reputation

It would have been a big story If it actually happend. We all know how much reputation we have as a cab drivers. This guy is probably one of those people who don't like cab drivers and he came up with the big fake story just to add more to our reputation. Just ignore this bullshit. Its no big deal for NYPD to figured out if it was there. Nobody is that stupid to run somebody over for a few dollars.
