taxi owner not giving back credit card excess
I was working with this guy leased medallion and owned car. Every week he kept giving me 10 or 20 dollar less than my crdit card amont. He chip over 150 dollars over time. I left him now and he is refusing to give the deposit money and last weeks credit card money of 450 dollars. What can do? I call the broker and he doesn't help. Can I go to small claims court? |

Check with the TLC first at 212-227-6324. If you don't owe him any money for things like outstanding tickets or MTA tax, he must return your deposit money. Under no circumstances was/is he allowed to keep more than 5% of your credit card money. The deposit is not allowed to be collected by taking more than 5% of your credit card money. Every time he did that he racked up another violation/fine. Tell him you are putting in a complaint with the TLC and he might cough up your money.
