Re: I need some informations

The IRS knows how the Taxi business works, It is silly if you think they are coming here to find information. GPS system does everything. it does log the time you start and the time you end your job. The time you cross a tunnel, and how much you make. So if the IRS needs any information they will find it accurately at the right source, but not here.

Regarding Questions

1°)

- as I remember from trip sheet it in between 25 - 35

2)

TLC as i remember said last time that the average taxi driver make $138 a day

3)

for mileage see post:

Re: I need some informations

Sorry Moderator,No offence meant.

Us Licensed London taxi drivers are a very suspicious bunch.

Normally when we see things like that,on a forum it makes us think.Like passengers who get you into conversation, then say "so cabby how much do you guy`s average a shift?"

I never ask my passengers how much they earn

Although your I.R.S./ and our taxman "know everything" about the trade,I am sure the occasional fishing trip happens.

When you say GPS tracks everything you do from job start,to end,is that for all cab`s,or just cabs on a radio circuit/dispatch company?

Thanks .Taximan.London.England

Re: I need some informations

Tximan tank you for your explanation.

GPS system is new technology that is installed on the majority of ny yellow taxis. It is an extra device to the regular meter that records all trips, you can learn about the technology here:

http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/industry/taxicab_serv_enh.shtml

You can see discussions about the device here:

Re: I need some informations

Hi again,

- A crown victoria runs around 14 MPG. TLC sets by october 2008 all new cabs should get at least 25 MPG.

- A new york city yellow taxi can go anywhere outside of new york, The fare must be flat rate and negotiable between the driver and the customer. you can read about the guy who went to Arizona !!!:

New York couple hails cab for 2,400-mile trip

Re: I need some informations

Thanks Moderator, I found many informations about NY taxicab at this following link : http://www.schallerconsult.com/taxi/index.html

25 mpg ? Ford crown victoria will disapear ? And about black car, Lincoln Town Car ?

Have you some diesel taxi ? In France we have 98 % diesel taxi cars, an average 30 mpg, less for small cars.

Thanks.
